David is an Associate Solicitor in our Commercial Property & Probate team.
David was educated at Dalriada School in Ballymoney prior to studying Law at Cambridge University. David graduated in 2006 and joined AD McClay & Co. Solicitor, serving his apprenticeship shortly afterwards. David attended the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queens University and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Northern Ireland in 2009.
David has gained experience in a number of areas since qualification, however at present his main practice areas are Commercial Property and Wills & Probate. David is adept at advising on Commercial Leases, acquisitions and disposal of property, acquisition of land for development and plot sales of new build properties. David has a particular interest in Agricultural matters and regularly acts in the transfer of farmland.
David has extensive experience dealing with Residential Property sales, purchases Transfers and re-mortgages as well as complex Probate matters, including high value Estates. He regularly advises clients on Estate planning and is adept at drafting Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney to give effect to clients’ requirements. David has also dealt with Controllership matters involving the Office of Care and Protection.
